FOR TODAY… February 10, 2013
Outside my window... cold, but with a serious lack of snow. Nemo passed us by.
I am thinking... about my dinner. I’m grateful I’ve gotten to the point that I can eat pretty regularly, even if my diet is pretty restrictive. It is better than it was towards the beginning of the pregnancy, which gives me hope that it will continue to improve.
I am thankful... unscented deodorant. I’m so hyper sensitive to smells right now, and so few of them smell good.
In the kitchen... tonight I’m eating some cauliflower. Kind of risky, and I’m not sure it won’t make me sick. But, I wanted to add something new to the same ole rice.
I am wearing... pjs
I am creating… life.
I am going... to not eat chocolate on Valentine’s day. Sad, right?
I am wondering... if I should do a NoBloPoMo. I mean, I technically have a lot of free time these days, since I rarely get out of bed. But, lots of days I’m just not up for, you know, thinking. We’ll see how I feel closer to March.
I am reading... A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson (audiobook, it’s the only way to beat the gestational ADD)
I am hoping... that this is a good week.
I am looking forward to... oh, I don’t know. August?
I am learning… meh. Today I learned that English Muffins are just called muffins in England.
Around the house... Husband is really staying on top of things. He’s a hero.
I am pondering... Thing 1’s behavior. He’s been acting out the past week, and I’m sure it is because I’m sick, have been sick forever, and just am inaccessible a lot of the time. The real kicker is there is just nothing I can do about it. I can’t get well to fix the problem. We just need the time to pass faster.
A favorite quote for today... "It's all right to tell a man to lift himself by his own bootstraps, but it is cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself by his own bootstraps. It is even worse to tell a man to lift himself by his bootstraps when somebody is standing on the boot." - Martin Luther King Jr.
One of my favorite things... hearing my children talk to themselves.
A few plans for the rest of the week: try to get out of bed sometimes. That’s it.
A peek into my day:
The boys were invited to a birthday party yesterday, and word has it they had a great time. I really loved the
the glee on Thing 1’s face in this picture. Hitting stuff is fun.

yeah i like to hear my daughter singing to herself.
