FOR TODAY… July 7, 2013
Outside my window... The sun is shining, which is kind of nice since we’ve had so many rainy days lately—which has made things so unbelievably humid it is like I still live in Florida, just not quite as hot.
I am thinking... about getting a pedicure and a haircut before this baby comes. I just don’t know if I have the energy for it.
I am thankful... for my fan. For real, y’all. The humidity.
In the kitchen... Husband just made lunch for everyone. Poor man has been making me the same meal for lunch for about 4 months now (sautéed veggies with some melted cheese) and even though he isn’t eating it, he’s tired of MAKING it. What can I do? It is usually the only thing that sounds good! (The other staple is a cheese omelet. I’m pretty sure he’s tired of making that too.)
I am wearing... a maternity dress
I am creating… a person.
I am going... to an OB appointment on Wednesday. I think this will be the beginning of having to go weekly. That means the end is coming, right?
I am wondering... if this pregnancy is really going to end. There is lots I’m looking forward to. Not the least of which is peeing at intervals normal for a human adult.
I am reading... just about to start Divergent by Veronica Roth
I am hoping... to get this eczema flare up under control. I just don’t need the extra layer of misery right now.
I am looking forward to... August 6th. Duh.
I am learning… a bit more about Egyptian Mythology than I used to know. I’m not nearly as familiar with it has I am Greek and Roman, or even Norse. But, reading the Kane Chronicles has got me all interested.
Around the house... I’m not always sure what is happening beyond my bedroom door, but it sure sounds like Thing 1 is being a tyrant today.
I am pondering... all of the projects I want to do after Thing 3 arrives. I know I’m fooling myself, because I remember what life with a new born is like. But, I can surely get more done than I’m getting done now.
A favorite quote for today... “There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.” - Oscar Levant
One of my favorite things... ice cold water on a hot, humid day.
A few plans for the rest of the week… the OB appointment I already mentioned. Husband will probably take the boys places. You know. The usual.
A peek into my day:
